At No Dogs Left Behind, we are deeply committed to rescuing dogs from the illegal dog meat trade, especially in parts of Asia where this cruel practice is still ongoing. Our work is hands-on and urgent. We operate directly in the areas where dogs are at the most significant risk โ pulling them from slaughterhouses, dog meat trucks, markets, and traffickers. These are not easy places to work, but they are where we can make the most significant difference.
Rescue and Rehabilitation
Our care doesnโt stop at rescue. Once dogs are saved, they come to our sanctuaries in Dayi and Gongyi. They receive medical care, food, and a safe place to recover. Many of these dogs have faced unimaginable cruelty, and healing their physical wounds is only part of the process. We work hard to help them overcome the emotional trauma they carry. With patience and kindness, we help these dogs regain trust and find hope for a new life.
Our goal is to prepare each dog for a loving, forever home. We want to see every survivor living happily and safely with a family that will cherish them. Through adoption programs, we connect these brave animals with people who want to give them a second chance.
Working Together for Animal Welfare
Beyond rescue and rehabilitation, we believe that lasting change requires action at a larger scale. We advocate for stronger animal welfare laws and better enforcement around the world. This work includes raising awareness to stop the exploitation and cruelty that animals face for commercial profit.
We are proud to work with partners such as local activists and schools, including the Chinese Agricultural College and Harrow School, to spread a message of kindness and respect for animals. Teaching young people about animal welfare helps build a future where cruelty is less accepted and care for animals is a priority.
Our Global Impact
In addition to Asia, we have recently launched a large-scale sterilization program in Ukraine, helping control dog populations humanely and prevent more animals from suffering. Our efforts reach beyond borders, as cruelty and neglect are global issues that need attention everywhere.
With nearly 500 dogs in our care, our work is ongoing and always needed. Every dog we rescue is a life saved, and every adoption is a success story we celebrate.
