What is online MCA?
An online MCA is a two-year master’s degree course. It basically stands for Master of Computer Applications and as the name suggests it provides the knowledge of computer applications. Most students after graduating from BCA pursue this course. Hence, this course helps in elevating a career by providing an updated skillset that can be used and implemented in real time. - Part-Time MCA: Part-Time MCA is a blend of both online MCA and distance MCA. This course provides a lot of flexibility, in this course, students attend weekend or evening classes.
Eligibility & Duration
The eligibility criteria for online MCA are as follows:
- A student must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute in computer science or computer applications.
- A student must have at least a minimum of 50% of qualifying marks with no current backlogs.
- If a student does not have a degree in computer science or computer applications then they must have an equivalent degree i.e. B.Sc./B.Com./BA with mathematics.
- Some universities also require work experience.

Online Master of Computer Applications is a master’s degree course so it is of two years. In this course, there are 4 semesters and each semester is of six months. At the end of each semester, end-term exams are conducted.
