Why Love Is All You Need?

Love

Humans tend to carry the world’s weight on their shoulders. They feel shame in venting their emotions and think they would come across as “too needy.” And in the process, they take a path of loneliness that we label “self-sufficiency.”Β

We may succeed in this path of solitude, bask in our achievement, and even find true happiness. But what happens when you come home from your endeavors? When you go to sleep, and the other side of the bed is a bit colder than yours, when you sit at the breakfast table, contemplating your day, thinking that you have to return to the same lonely place.

No matter how strong we are or how self-sufficient or independent we may boast ourselves to be, there is always an inherent need for companionship.

Or, let’s reiterate this. Perhaps, in your life’s gloomy shades of gray, black, and white, it is love that you need to radiate flurries of purple, blues, reds, and more.

We wish to be seen by another individual and heard and appreciated. We want someone to listen to our aspirations, dreams, and fears. We crave human touch, to feel needed by someone, which fuels a sense of purpose in our lives. We all want someone who can help us grow into the best version of ourselves.

You see, no matter what you have been through in life and the cuts and bruises that have damaged your heart through your pursuit of self-sufficiency, all it takes is for love to act as a medicine and truly set you free.

When you find the “right” one, all the puzzle pieces fall into place effortlessly. Suddenly, the songs make sense, and the hollow feeling in your heart becomes full. You begin to look forward to the future, or at least watching the chair on the opposite end of the dining table, filled with someone you wish to spend the rest of your life with, with whom you want to start a family and fill your house with cheers.

If you are lucky enough to have found the individual who can paint your world as described in this blog, hold them tight, treat them right, and don’t take them for granted. You never know where life can take you.

In the case of Wichita, in Jedediah Ravine’s exhilarating Western fiction, he has found someone he can call “home.” Leaving a life of action and adventure behind, he decides to build a family with her and has a son.Β

Until, one day, everything is taken away from him.
